Welcome to junior high math! I am looking forward to another fun-filled year with my new 7th and 8th graders! This is my fifth year at Rankin and sixth year overall, all of which have been focused in middle school math.

The 7th graders this year will learn about many different topics such as: operatons with negative numbers, geometry including angles and 3D shapes, rates, unit rates, and ratios, inequalities, absolute value, and my personal favorite, algebra!

8th grade will work toward mastery of some brand new topics! Skills will include: operations with exponents, word problems involvling scientific notation, graphs and systems of linear equations, functions, geometry topics and high level algebra!
