FALL
Individual Golf Sectionals
· (6th-8th grade) to participate in the Fall 2026 IESA Sectional Golf Match
· The Sectional Golf Matches for this coming school year will take place on September 9, 2026, for boys and September 10, 2026, for girls. The course locations for these events are currently to be determined.
· The District would enter individual golfers who have a parent that is able to become certified to coach their own child through the IESA (i.e. take the coaching course and concussion training). Please note that the District does not field a golf team as this opportunity is open to individuals with parents who become IESA certified. The parent would be responsible for transporting and supervising their own child, and be responsible for the coaching course fee of $19.95, the entry fee of $45 (estimated), and the green fees for the golf round. If we have more than two individual boys and/or girls register, the parent of the third athlete and parents of any additional athletes (i.e. first come, first serve) would not be able to coach, but they would still be responsible for transporting and supervising their own children. IESA's deadline for entering is June 8th. Thus, if you are interested, email mgordon@rankin98.org before June 8th. After June 8th, any athletes who want to register for this event will be placed on a waiting list (i.e. no guarantee), and, typically, the entry fees double.
Softball tryouts
July 27th
- (5th-8th grade)
- 6-8pm - Rankin Softball Field
· Must have physical on file before tryouts
- Due to the predicted weather forecast, tomorrow’s softball tryout (Mon. July 27th) will be moved from 3-5 p.m. to 6-8 p.m. Players should arrive in shorts and gym shoes and meet in the Main Gym, first. It’s anticipated that the tryout could be held both inside and outside depending on the heat, etc. Please bring water. These extra precautions will help ensure the safety of all. Cross Country at South Pekin
Fun Runs = August 5th, 6th, and 7th from 9:00 - 10:15.
Must have current physical on file (within 13 months) to participate in any of the above activities

Baseball Tryouts

· Wear pants, bring a hat, ball glove, and any other equipment
