Welcome to 4th grade. My name is Hilarie Clevenger. I am so excited that you are here!!
I grew up in Oklahoma, most of which was on the Osage Indian Reservation. I graduated from Pawhuska High School in Osage County in Oklahoma. We moved to Plano, Texas for 1 year before finding ourselves in Illinois.
I have always wanted to become a teacher, but I took the scenic route to get here. I graduated from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL with an A.A. in Child Care and worked in the childcare industry for 10 years. I did everything from clean toilets to owning the facility. After my son started his school career, I went back to school to finally achieve my dream. So, here I am!!!!
I attended National Louis University out of Chicago. I graduated in 2003 and began teaching at Rankin in the fall of 2003. This past December, I graduated from Bradley University with a PMS in Elementary Math, Science, and Technology.
I am excited to teach math and science. I have spent the past 3 summers working with Bradley and NASA to create activities for the classroom in math and science.
