Music tells a story!

Did you know that music can tell a story? Rankin elementary students shared their musical stories with each other on April 3rd, right before spring break.
Kindergarten taught us about high and low sounds through the story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. First grade counted in fives and played a so-mi melody on the bells for Starry Arms. Second grade sang the entire story Lets Go Walking, accompanying themselves on the bells, drums, and boomwackers. Third graders performed a drum ensemble and introduced us to a famous tap dancer in A Rap a Tap Tap. Fourth graders added musical accompaniment on the recorders and rainstick in Sail Away Little Boat.
A great time was had by all!
