I am very excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year! It is my second year teaching in my own classroom and I am enjoying it very much. I love being a part of the Rankin Family! I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. While at ISU, I student taught kindergarten and second grade. After graduating, I substitute taught for a year before returning to Illinois State University the next year to get my certification in Elementary Education as well.

The picture above and to the right is me in Germany. My father was deployed to Iraq for a year with the Illinois Army National Guard. During that year he was allowed two weeks of R&R (Rest and Recuperation). My mother and I met him in Germany. It was a wonderful chance not only to spend time with my dad, but also to see Germany. We spent time in the Rhine and Heidelberg areas and visited The Dom or cathedral in Cologne.
