Information on Tuition for Non-Resident Students
The Rankin Board of Education and Administration invites you to consider attending Rankin School on a tuition basis. So why would it be beneficial for your child to attend Rankin School?
Academics:
- Rankin is traditionally one of the top performing schools in the tri-county area
- Rankin students are well prepared for success at high school
- Qualified and caring faculty and staff dedicated to helping each child succeed
- Fully coordinated Kg-8 curriculum in academic subjects
- New textbook series for grades Kg-8 have been purchased in math, social studies, science, writing and reading
- Special Junior High classes in Math, Science, Technology, and double classes in Language Arts
- We are one of two local schools to sponsor a Chapter in the National Junior Honor Society
- Two fully equipped interactive technology labs
Social:
- Rankin students flourish in our small family atmosphere
- Rankin has a strong character education program supported by the staff

- Technology Laboratory
- Art classroom and Music classroom (dual use as tornado shelter)
- New gymnasium, locker rooms, and stage
- New kitchen and office area
- Addition of 14.5 acres to existing 10 acres for large open school site
- Softball diamond, basketball court, fitness center, and variety of playground equipment
- New baseball diamond, track, and field event facilities are completed
Financial:
- Our operating expenses are well below the state average
- Our operating budgets have been balanced for six years
- Rankin has a five-year waiver to offer reduced tuition
- Our tuition has remained at $3,200 for the past four years
- We have not set the tuition rate for 2005-2006
